Nessy Reading & Spelling is a web-based, reading program developed by a team of specialist teachers and psychologists.
Lessons emphasise phonemic awareness, phonics, blending, sight words, fluency, spelling, vocabulary and comprehension. Each island consists of a series of lessons composed of strategy videos reinforced with games which teach fundamental reading & spelling skills.
We intend to use the program with all children in Primary 2 & 3 and also with other groups of children throughout the school.
The children will use the program in school and also at home. As it is web based, the program will run on any computer, laptop, ipad or tablet that can connect to the internet.
